Reading challenge starts
The Premiers Reading Challenge started on March 7 at Umina campus of Brisbane Water Secondary College,.
School librarian Ms Linda Harvey said: "The challenge aims to encourage a love for reading for leisure and pleasure in students and to enable them to experience quality literature.
"It is not a competition but a challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read widely," she said.
Year 7 students have been allocated with personal reading logs to record their efforts.
The challenge will conclude on August 19.
