Financial planner selected as State finalist
A Woy Woy businessman has been selected as State finalist for his work as a financial planner.
Local resident Mr Troy Chapman of Country Wide Wealth in Woy Woy, has been selected as a state finalist in the Value of Advice Awards run by dealer group Charter Financial Planning.
The group has almost 800 financial planners operating under its licence.
Mr Chapman was selected as a finalist for his role in assisting a Central Coast woman who had been diagnosed with cancer.
He ensured that the client received the right amount of money at the right time and in the right hands.
She had previously seen a different adviser and had been given poor advice that meant that while she suffered a claimable health event she would not personally have received any money.
Mr Chapman was able to turn the tables and made sure the client was able to receive the money where she needed it most, while significantly reducing her personal tax liabilities in the process.
