Open day for fire service
Killcare Wagstaffe Rural Fire Service will hold an open day on Saturday, October 5, on the Hardys Bay Waterfront from 9am to 1pm.
The open day will include a static display, and fire truck and hose demonstrations.
Bookings will be taken for property inspections and to review the Bush Fire Survival Plan.
The open day is one of 300 NSW Rural Fire Service station open days being held.
NSW RFS Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said the Service's annual open day was the ideal opportunity for families to meet the volunteers who protect their local community, and learn how to be better prepared in the event of a bush fire.
