No parking in cul-de-sac

A No Parking restriction will be implemented around the cul-de-sac of Hood St, Ettalong, for 20 metres from the end of the street.

Council received a request from a customer to install a parking restriction in Hood St, Ettalong, to provide a turning area as difficulties were being experienced with manoeuvring.

It was also claimed that the waste collection trucks were experiencing the same issue.

Thiess, the waste service contractor, indicated that the manoeuvring area for their trucks would be improved if parking restrictions were in place in the area.

It is noted that Hood St was a cul-de-sac that ran off Booker Bay Rd and was parallel to Empire Bay Dr.

It was recommended by Council's Local Traffic Committee that a No Parking restriction be provided.
