Living away?

I would like to know if the information on the news a couple of days ago is correct, that our local Member receives a Living Away from Home allowance of $250 per day.

If it is so, perhaps our local Member does not realise that many of his constituents travel daily on dirty, crowded trains just to get to work in Sydney and then home again after a tiring day.

Surely our MPs could make more rational decisions if they experienced life as it really is?
