School raises $3000 for bushfire
Staff and students from Woy Woy South Public School raised $3000 for the Victorian bushfire appeal over the last two weeks.
Relieving principal Ms K Whealey said it was a wonderful effort by the school.
"Last week was a very emotional week for all of us watching the devastation of the fires in Victoria and the resultant impact on the lives of people living in the affected areas," staff member Ms Suellyn Swan said.
"Karen Larsen and I have just finished counting the money donated by our school community to the Victorian bushfire appeal and we are feeling quite emotional but at the same time uplifted by the generosity of the donations.
"There have been a number of large anonymous donations which would like to mention and sincerely thank - you know who you are!"
