Algal warning lifted
An algal warning near St Huberts Island has been lifted and commercial shellfish harvesting has re-commenced, according to the NSW Department of Natural Resources.
The NSW Food Authority lifted the warning after shellfish flesh and water tests showed the algal bloom was no longer present at the Riley's Island shellfish harvest area.
The algal warning was issued on October 8, after shellfish samples indicated the algae species alexandrium catenella had been present in the water.
