Flood study is finished

A floodplain risk management study and plan for Turo Creek, Pretty Beach, has been finalised according to Gosford Council staff.

Council's Flooding and Drainage planning officer Mr Gary Poll told council's Floodplain Risk Management Committee that the study and plan had been finalised and the printing of the documents was underway.

Mr Poll said the documents would be distributed to all of council's libraries and relevant community representatives.

Mr Poll said floodplain management proposals would be listed for consideration of funding on Council's capital works program and presented to the committee at a later meeting.

Council's transport officer Mr Peter Dunn informed the committee that the design for drainage works in Venice Rd was well underway and construction was proposed to commence in the 2007/08 council drainage program.
