Group discussses forms of abuse
A drop-in group that deals with many forms of abuse is being run at the Peninsula Women's Health Centre.
Topics covered in the group include the cycle of violence and abuse, what is a healthy relationship, the impact of abuse on the family unit, brainwashing and emotional abuse, the effects of stress, anger and isolation, your rights, self esteem, life skills, and the effects of domestic violence.
The group is held every Tuesday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm.
No bookings are needed, and no sign in is needed for the group.
The meetings are held at the Peninsula Women's Health Centre, 20A McMasters Rd, Woy Woy.
The Woy Woy Women and Children's Service also offer an outreach service to women in the community who have or are experiencing domestic violence.
The service is free of charge.
