Students plant trees for Environment Day
Students at Pretty Beach Public School used World Environment Day to take part in a tree planting exercise.
The trees were planted to regenerate the creek area behind the school buildings and help increase its biodiversity.
The planting was funded by a Schools Ecogrant, which saw the creek weeded using a safe and innovative steam process.
Seeds were collected and propagated by Gosford City Council.
It will now be the students' responsibility to water, weed and maintain the area.
The Wagstaffe, Pretty Beach Progress Association, donated the plants, and volunteers helped with the planting.
