Mingaletta to hold Teddy Bears Picnic

Mingaletta will hold a Teddy Bears Picnic Day from 12pm to 2pm on Wednesday, May 28, at its hall at 6 Sydney Ave, Umina.

Those attending are invited to bring their family and their friends and "your favourite teddy bear".

Free copies of the picture book Tubowgule: A Sydney Opera House History will be available, signed by the author Melissa-Jane Fogarty who will be present on the day.

"We will also have lots of fun activities, including some messy play," said Mingaletta co-ordinator Aunty Di O'Brien.

"Come have a yarn with the yagunda baranggu Connected Beginnings team on how we can empower you with the knowledge and connections to help your gudjagang thrive.

"Discover community resources and culturally relevant practices designed with our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in mind.

"While you're yarning with the team, complete a survey and you will go in the draw to win a Barang prize pack, including our guluwayn (koala)."

Light refreshments will be available.

Registration is available online.
