Soccer club seeks volunteers

Woy Woy Football Club is seeking volunteers to help ensure the soccer club's success in the upcoming season.

Club president Mr Peter Chippindale said: "Volunteers are such an integral part of running an efficient and successful grass roots football club.

"Whether they are club president, running the barbecue, working in the canteen, fundraising or coaching-managing a team, their participation ensures our players have a positive experience each and every season.

"At home games, our volunteers help out in the canteen and on the barbecue, help set up and pack down the fields and support the clubs fundraising efforts wherever they can.

"We are looking for players, parents, partners, grandparents and other interested community members to join our committee.

"We have a very small committee at the moment and we need help," Mr Chippindale said.

Mr Chippindale said the call for volunteers also extended to coaches with the club having several teams in need of a coach, for our non-comp players in the Under-5s to Under-11s especially.

"If your truly passionate about football and would like to share that passion and skill, you may like to look at coaching one of our junior comp teams," Mr Chippindale said.

Anyone interested should contact club secretary Mrs Dawn Butler via email at: secretary@woywoyfootball.org.au.
