Bailey Meti selected for State under-18s bowls team
Ettalong Memorial Bowling Club's Bailey Meti has been selected for the NSW team that will contest the Australian Under-18 Bowls Championships in October.
"The Australian Under-18 Championships are unquestionably one of the most tantalising events on the Bowls Australia calendar," said Bowls Australia chief executive Mr Neil Dalrymple.
"We are treated to a first-hand display of the abundance of talent coming through the junior ranks.
"Over the years, we have seen past and present Australian Jackaroos, world champions, Commonwealth Games gold medallists and national coaches get their start, including former Ettalong Eagle and Australian record maker Aron Sherriff," Mr Dalrymple said.
Bailey will compete in both the Triples and Fours events.
The Championships get underway on October 2 and will be hosted by Victoria's Bendigo Bowls Club.
