Better use for sandstone blocks

My thanks go to Cr Lisa Matthews for broaching the subject of the plethora of sandstone blocks that have been placed around the local area, in particular around Rogers Park.

I too am curious about the cost and supplier of the blocks.

I love sandstone but can think of better places to utilise them, one being to help with the retention of the sand dunes down at Umina and Ocean Beach.

I believe that they were used at Rogers Park in an attempt to stop cars from driving on the oval.

What happened to the fence surround that was there?
