Registered for action against bullying
Ettalong Public School has registered to take part in the National Day of Action Against Bullying.
The day takes place on March 16.
"Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate or aggressively dominate others," said relieving principal, Ms Lynn Balfour.
"The behaviour is repeated and habitual.
"One essential prerequisite is the perception, by the bully or by others, of an imbalance of social or physical power, which distinguishes bullying from conflict.
"Teachers will share positive activities and ideas with their class and encourage children to be friendly and respectful, always."
