Trackwork to be completed this week

Interruptions to train services North of Woy Woy due to trackwork should be completed this week.

The "re-railing in order to improve network safety and reduce the need for ongoing maintenance" should be completed on Tuesday January 16.

According to a statement issued by transport NSW, "residents of surrounding areas can expect to hear noise associated with rail maintenance vehicles".

"Due to travel restrictions on large vehicles that require some plant and equipment deliveries to be made at night, residents should expect noise pollution at these times.

"Traffic control will be set up during the period of interruption to allow work vehicles to move to and from the site.

"Traffic increases may also occur along Glenrock Parade and Brisbane Water Dr, which will be used for work vehicles to access the work site."

NSW Transport has said it would endeavour to contain all work vehicles inside the rail corridor to avoid unnecessary disruptions to traffic and parking.
