Costs would be greater with fast ferry

Whether the Ettalong Channel siltation is due to the assumed long-term coastal processes or new processes due to climate change, how would it be had the fast ferry proposal gone ahead?

It's an understatement to say problems would be significantly increased if the Ettalong-Sydney service was operating.

A short list would cover the Forum pages of Peninsula News.

Not least are that the deliberations by Central Coast Council members are ongoing and the issues regarding parking and wharf funding are still unresolved.

Heated discussions have occurred between numerous interest groups about the increasing siltation of the estuary and the safety and scheduling of the ferry service.

With the number of disgruntled patrons having to change transport arrangements due to the unreliable and unsafe ferry service, the claimed fast ferry alternative to the M1 is short-lived, raising questions about decision-making and transparency.
