Twice the month's average rainfall already
The Peninsula has received more than twice its average rainfall for the month of March in the first half of the month.
A total of 264mm had been recorded by March 17, 114.6 per cent more than the March average of 123mm, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Woy Woy.
The three largest daily rainfall totals for the year have been recorded this month, with 66.9mm being recorded on March 15, 41.5mm being recorded on March 4 and 36.5mm recorded on March 1.
The cumulative rainfall total for the year now stands at 453.6mm, which is 10.4 per cent higher than the average cumulative figure at the end of March of 411mm.
