Goalball team to be selected
A team will soon be selected to represent Pretty Beach Public School in inter-school Goalball competitions.
A representative from the NSW Goalball Association visited the school on Friday, February 24, to teach students about Goalball in the lead-up to the Goalball for Schools Knockout Competition.
"This program has been designed to allow sighted students and students with vision impairment or blindness an equal opportunity to participate in mainstream Paralympic and Pacific School Games sport at their school and in a state-wide competition against other schools," said sports coordinator Mr Andy Podmore.
"We were introduced to the rules of the game, looked at how to play and had a go ourselves," he said.
