Council director aims to attract investment
Gosford Council's new director of environment and planning, Ms Danielle Dickson, has described a key focus in her role would be attracting investment to the municipality.
Ms Dickson is currently the acting general manager of the City of Ryde Council and has experience in both local government and the private sector.
Council's general manager Mr Paul Anderson said Ms Dickson's leadership experience and broad skill base made her an ideal fit for this position.
"Danielle's 10 year career in local government includes executive management roles in a diversity of disciplines including environment and planning and community and recreation.
"Specialist skills in the delivery of major projects, coupled with qualifications in architecture, law and company directorship, have provided Danielle the right experience to implement major initiatives in line with community priorities.
Ms Dickson said: "I am excited about the opportunity to work with Gosford Council.
"One of my key areas of focus will be helping to drive the organisation's ability to attract investment that will grow the prosperity of the area.
"The planning aspect of the role and the responsibility for strategic planning are both areas of keen interest for me and ones which will utilise my skills and experience to contribute to the future sustainability of Council.
"I look forward to working with Gosford Council to deliver quality outcomes for the community," Ms Dickson said.
