Principal inspired at conference

Umina Public School principal Ms Lyn Davis attended the NSW Primary Principals State Conference last month.

She said she was particularly inspired by speakers - former Greens leader Dr Bob Brown, Finish education director-general Pasi Sahlberg, 2006 Father of the Year Ron Delezio and Choir of Hard Knocks funder Dr Jonathan Welch.

"There was a great deal of discussion regarding the State Government cuts to the education budget.

"However, I want to point out that schools have been assured that there will be no cuts to our global funds," said Ms Davis.

"I met many colleagues from across the state and was able to discuss common plans we have for the students in our schools.

"Change is happening very quickly in educational administration, however, students will remain the focus at Umina Public School," said Ms Davis.
