Test results 'excellent'

Students from Ettalong Beach Public School have achieved excellent results in the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy tests held earlier this year, according to principal Mr Colin Wallis.

"It was most encouraging to see the great progress and improvements most of our students have made, evidence of the effectiveness and quality of the teaching and learning programs at our school.

"Our results and growth are well above those of similar and neighbouring schools.

"We are punching well above the bar.

"We must continue to strive and work hard to maintain and further enhance this success".

He attributed the improvements to "good teachers implementing good programs to which the children are obviously responding".
