Kevin returns with gold

St Hubert's Island athlete Kevin Moore returned home from the Delhi Commonwealth Games on Saturday, October 16, bearing a gold medal after being part of the winning 4x400m relay.

Moore, 20, has been training for the Games since he signed with coach Larry Spencer at 14.

"What he did on Wednesday was pretty spectacular," said Mr Spencer about Kevin's performance in the 400m relay.

Mr Spencer said Kevin's emotional maturity, strength and attention to detail was what set him apart from other athletes.

"He wouldn't make any decision without considering the impact on his performance which is difficult for a 20 year old."
