Bike access is needed
Following on from the letter in the Peninsula News (November 24) from Kay Williams outlining the critical need of refurbishing the alternative access to Pearl Beach via the walkway-cycleway at the base of the Mt Ettalong cliff, it is matter of urgency that Gosford Council consider this need.
It is clearly ridiculous to have to put bikes in the car in order to arrive at the cycleway at Woy Woy.
Anything other than this means traversing dangerous roads with no facility for walkers or bikes.
In this time of economic downturn, the saving of petrol usage makes a lot of sense, plus of course the obvious health benefits of using leg and pedal power.
Council, please consider this need.
