Guest artist at Patonga

Ettalong artist Mr Greg Coates will feature as a guest artist of the Patonga Bakehouse Gallery throughout December.

"Greg recently won the local Rotary art prize and his painting Umina was accepted for display in this year's Gosford Art Prize exhibition," gallery owner and fellow artist Ms Jocelyn Maughan said.

"Greg also has his own gallery at Ettalong and there specially reflected works include rigorous tree studies and paintings inspired by the inner city environment.

"In an art climate that is fashionably dark and angst ridden, Greg's work stands out in that it is bright, colourful and delightfully optimistic."

Mr Coates work is available for viewing at the Patonga gallery 24-hours a day at 24 Bay St, Patonga.

Recent works by Jocelyn Maughan and Robin Norling are also available for viewing on Sunday between 11am and 3pm or by appointment by phoning 4379 1102.
