Changes will come
In reply to Meredith Graham's letter (Peninsula News March 31), any town within an hour of Sydney will not be able to avoid the population spreading to their town.
Especially Ettalong and Umina have so much untapped potential and the demands that will create for services.
As well, Sydney real estate prices are forcing working families to take advantage of cheap housing (whether renting or buying) in places like Ettalong and Umina which are still within an hour of Sydney by F3, train or ferry.
This changing demographics will force areas like Umina to have to adapt and most likely become a better seaside village with work galore for locals and healthy business for local businesses.
Change is in the wind.
This part of the world can no longer remain in a time warp when it is so close to Sydney.
