Canopy for station

RailCorp has announced the installation of a new $150,000 platform canopy at Woy Woy station.

RailCorp media representative Ms Ciejay Leggett said the installation was part of a much larger canopy program taking place across the state.

"The installation of the canopy will have many benefits to commuters," Ms Leggett said.

"It will provide shelter and protection from weather, be a useful tool and aid for the elderly, and provide greater security to commuters.

"The material being used to make the canopy is much more durable than in previous times."

Work for the new canopy is ongoing and a completion date has not been set.
