Students enter debate

Four students from Empire Bay Public School participated in the Peninsula Debating Competition on Thursday, August 9.

Karina Riquelme, Amiee Young, Jacinta Lincoln and Kristy-Lee Thompson represented their school against Point Clare Public School.

The debate topic was 'That it's great to be young'.

"It was a very close debate and Point Clare was the eventual winner," student Ms Jessica Beazley said.

The competition final between Point Clare Public School and Umina Public School will be held later in the term.
