Lease wanted for Telstra tower
Gosford Council officers have recommended granting a lease to Telstra over part of the Blackwall Mountain Water reservoir site for a term of five years with three options of five years each.
The lease would commence retroactively from May 1, 2005, as Telstra has occupied the site since August 5, 2004.
Telstra recently asked to enter into a lease with council to formalise the occupation.
The occupation involves six panel antennas, one equipment shelter and associated cabling
Council will receive an annual rental of $22,575, with annual increases of five per cent.
Rental will be backdated to May 1, 2005.
