Doorknockers wanted

The Salvation Army is calling for volunteers for the National Red Shield Appeal Doorknock on the weekend of May 28 and 29.

A target of $70,600 has been set for the Peninsula.

It is also the 40th anniversary of the Red Shield Appeal.

The Salvos hope to reach a national doorknock goal of $6 million to maintain services in the year ahead.

People wishing to volunteer or to make donations can contact 13 32 30 or visit www.salvos.org.au/home.

Donations can also be made at any Westpac branch, or by posting a cheque to PO Box 9888, Sydney.
