Booker Bay 'landscaping well done'

The Grow Urban Shade Trees group has congratulated a Booker Bay renovator for "landscaping done well".

"On the verge, under powerlines, stand six new blueberry ash and a firewheel tree," said group member Ms Jenny Wilder.

"Planted inside the property are multiple new trees including coastal banksia, tuckeroo, water gum and cheese trees - several of each.

"All these trees are native and all will provide excellent shade and habitat.

"It is so heartening to see the principles of urban greening and heat mitigation being applied in this suburb, red flagged for its extreme heat and lack of canopy."
