Parking information given to parents
Woy Woy Public School has provided parents with information about parking near schools, prepared by Central Coast Council.
The information, published in the school newsletter, tells parents that they may not stop for more than two minutes in a No Parking zone.
While the No Parking zone is "suitable for dropping off and picking up", parents "must remain in or within three metres" of their car.
Circumstances in which parents should not stop or park were listed.
These included double parking, blocking a driveway or footpath or stopping on a median strip, traffic island or nature strip.
They must not stop within 20 metres before or 10 metres after a pedestrian crossing or a bus stop, within 10 metres of an intersection or within one metre of other parked vehicles.
They may not stop within an intersection, within a bus stop or taxi stand, or within three metres of double centre lines.
