New SRC at St John's

St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School Woy Woy has elected its new Student Representative Council.

The Council works with teachers and school staff to represent the views and opinions of their fellow students in school decision making, according to principal Ms Nicole Cumming.

The Council was responsible for thinking up new ways to promote student engagement with the school, she said.

It represented "an excellent leadership opportunity for elected students and promotes positive relationships between student groups that might not otherwise interact".

The school's Council is elected every semester.
