Animal Justice Party meets
The Central Coast branch of the Animal Justice Party will meet at the Woy Woy CWA Hall from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, on Thursday, September 30.
The Central Coast branch meets monthly to discuss major animal welfare issues affecting the Central Coast and wider NSW.
"Our goal is to prevent the exploitation of animals and environmental destruction by changing the law," said Ms Skyla Wagstaff, who contested the Gosford by-election for the party in 2017.
"We plan to stop factory farming, live export, companion and domestic animal abuse, and the exploitation of animals for sport and entertainment.
"We lobby for tougher animal protection laws and increased penalties for convicted animal abusers.
"We fight for better regulations around the trade of companion animals.
"We advocate for better education and awareness for the treatment of animals," Ms Wagstaff said.
"In 2015 we had our first member of parliament elected to the NSW parliament, Mark Pearson."
