Australian home of the year is at Wagstaffe

A Wagstaffe home and its West Gosford builder have taken out the 2018 Housing Industry Association Australian Home of the Year award at the Australian Housing Awards.

The Wagstaffe home also won the award for Australian Custom Built Home.

The judges found this home to be white and light inside and out, to "exude space, comfort, and quiet luxury" and "a true reflection of good design and construction".

"A range of interesting materials and finishes combine to great effect, including drunken render, eucalypt lata sticks and tallowwood sourced specifically for the project."

The award was presented to Construct Central Coast.

"The HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards are the ultimate platform to showcase the talents of the nation's top builders and designers and the Home of the Year is the highest honour in the residential building industry," said Ms Michelle Syddall from Construct Central Coast.
