I have not been approached

I refer to my letter that you published on April 9, headlined "Residents could have made events viable" and your comments.

You clearly did not read my letter properly before making your comments as I have clearly identified myself as a director of the club and yet you go ahead and make the claim that you have contacted the directors in the past months and that some directors were not willing to be interviewed and others did not wish to speak on record.

I think I would know if I had been approached by your paper.

I have also checked with the chairman of the board, the president of the Ladies Club (also a director) and the president of the men's club (also a director).

These people have advised me that they have never been contacted by your paper.

I don't know who you have been talking to.

I would like to see a retraction of your comments printed in the next addition as clearly they are not correct.
