Students attend Royal Show preview

Woy Woy Public School had 75 students at the Royal Easter Show to take part in the Primary Preview Day on March 22.

The preview day had a round robin structure with student groups moving between different activities learning about the Australian agricultural industry.

"The students got to watch and learn about cows and how they're milked, " said relieving principal Ms Janine Szostak.

"They even got the opportunity to milk a cow by hand, which was fun,.

"We learnt about all different aspects of our country's agriculture industries including apples, cotton, sheep, different animals and water.

"We even learnt how drones are used in agriculture.

"Some of the students participated in the cooking and learnt about our egg industry.

"All these activities were educational and aimed at students to help them appreciate the work in the agricultural industry," Ms Szostak said.
