School reflects on Sorry Day

Ettalong Public School has reflected on the 10-year anniversary of Sorry Day.

"We held our Sorry Day assembly with children watching a short video clip from Behind The News about the history of Sorry Day," said relieving principal Ms Lynn Balfour.

"This year marks 10 years since Kevin Rudd apologised to the aboriginal people for what is now known as the Stolen Generation.

"Our choir sang publicly for the first time this year and I might be biased, but I thought they were fantastic.

"I was so proud, listening to them sing Raining on the Rock, a John Williamson song," Ms Balfour said.
