Firefighters give fire safety lessons
Kindergarten students at Umina Beach Public School learnt about fire safety during a visit from Umina Fire Station personnel in June.
Students listened to local firefighters speak about how to be fire safe and were taught about what to do in the event of a fire.
Students also got to learn all about how fire engines work and about the many gadgets and tools that firefighters keep in them.
A highlight for the students was getting to spray the fire hose and getting to see their teachers dress up in fire safety gear.
