Drunk in charge of a boat?
A man will face court after being charged with having high range blood alcohol content while operating a vessel on Woy Woy Bay.
Officers attached to Brisbane Water Local Area Command were patrolling Woy Woy Bay, when they detected a boat travelling above the speed limit at about 12.30pm on Thursday, January 5, as part of Operation Fortitude.
Police stopped the vessel and spoke to the master, a 36-year-old man, and conducted a random breath test, which returned a positive result.
The 36-year-old man was arrested and taken to Woy Woy Police Station where he was charged with operate vessel with high range PCA.
He was issued a field court attendance notice to appear at Woy Woy Local Court on Tuesday, January 24.
Operation Fortitude is an ongoing operation focused on alcohol-related crime and anti-social behaviour during the holiday period on the Central Coast.
