Jez Lowe comes to Troubadour
A high profile British contemporary folk singer and songwriter, Jez Lowe, will perform at the Troubadour Folk Club on October 8.
Jez draws on the Geordie traditions of Newcastle on Tyne and Northumberland in the north-east of England.
He likes to fill his songs with the rich history of coal mining and herring fleets, famous battles of long tough borderland feuds, tragic love stories of knights and damsels - and so are his songs.
Often appearing together with his band, the Bad Pennies, on this occasion Jez is making a solo appearance at the Troubadour on his Australian Tour.
"He's a great guitar player and raconteur, so it will be a special treat to hear him in such an unadulterated form," said club president Mr Michael Fine.
The Troubadour Folk Club meets in the CWA Hall in Woy Woy.
