NBN date uncertainty

The Bays may be about to receive access to the National Broadband Network, but the actual start date was uncertain.

According to the February edition of the Bays Community Group Inc newsletter, Optus and Telstra were providing conflicting information about the availability of the NBN in the Bays area

Telstra was suggesting it would be live from February 13 but Optus were unable to confirm that date, the newsletter reported.

A spokesperson for the NBN Co said public roll out maps on the company's site would not be changed for a week and that generally coincided with an area going live.
