Future of live theatre is promising
The future of live theatre on the Central Coast looks promising.
After seeing a story in the Peninsula News about Umina Public School's production of The First Fleet, I decided to go along and see what was on offer.
Not being a parent, it was a good opportunity to see what is going on with the youth in our schools.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a very well-produced show with all the colour of the costumes and sets and rather good acting for Year 5 students.
The choir sang a good selection of original songs and the entire cast looked like they were thoroughly enjoying themselves.
It was obvious that a lot of hard work went into the entire production with lighting, sound and organisation.
Congratulations to all involved, especially Mr Jeff Bonnor and the teachers who assisted.
Also a big thank you to Lyn Davis for allowing the public to see the concert.
I look forward to many more productions.
Well done, kids.
