Prizes for East Timor research
A number of Year 5 and 6 students from Umina Public School visited Club Umina on Wednesday, September 12, where they were awarded with certificates and prizes for research they undertook on East Timor.
The school was also presented with a $150 donation by the Umina Country Women's Association branch.
"Our students were outstanding ambassadors for our school," said deputy principal Ms Mary Hunt.
"Their prepared speeches about East Timor were excellent.
"Their appearance and manners were exemplary.
"The CWA ladies treated the children with a lovely morning tea which was much appreciated," said Ms Hunt.
