New homes for pets
The Animal Welfare League Central Coast branch in Woy Woy is encouraging local families to adopt a pet in need of a new home.
The branch has found new homes for 25 dogs and three cats so far this year.
Publicity officer Ms Paula White said the branch was also responsible for de-sexing more than 200 pets over the past eight months.
"Animal Welfare League Central Coast is a charitable organisation with all funds raised going to animals in need in the Central Coast region," Ms White said.
"Hearing about each family's joy and success in bringing home a pet in need is always heart-warming."
