Whale rescue day planned

Gosford Council will host a Whale Rescue Workshop at Ocean Beach Surf Life Saving Club on Sunday, November 16.

The workshop will be facilitated by local whale experts Jeannie Lawson and Jo Sealy.

Participants have the opportunity to learn about the natural history of whales and dolphins, theories on why they strand and how to rescue them.

The workshop is free and will take place from 10am to 2.30pm.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
