Save the Children branch closes
Woy Woy branch of the Save the Children organisation has closed down after 30 years of raising money for children in need in Australia and overseas.
"This is due to some of our members going into aged care, through illness, and no younger ones to take over," publicity officer Mr Dennis Hensman said.
"We would like to thank Peninsula News for their support, for the Anglican Church on the Peninsula for use of their premises, many shops in Umina and Umina Mall for their generosity over many years and to the other organizations whose members always came to our fundraising events."
