Booker Bay Rd changes wanted

Gosford Council has received a petition expressing concern about safety at a number of intersections in Booker Bay.

The petition, with 25 signatures, made five suggestions to council.

The petitioners asked that council paint the concrete strip in the middle of Booker Bay Rd white, and to put some reflective devices on it.

They asked that council change the 35km/h speed limit to 25km/h.

They suggested that council make Bogan Rd a one-way street heading north-west, with a stop sign at the intersection with Booker Bay Rd.

They also suggested that council make Booker Bay Rd a 40km/h zone from the eastern end of Bogan Rd to the Davis St junction.

Council has referred the matter to its Engineering Services directorate.
