Fitness centre donates food
A Woy Woy fitness centre has collected and donated 61 bags of groceries weighing 545.5kg to the Salvation Army.
"Curves continued its tradition of contributing to the local community with its most recent donations to charitable organizations," Curves Woy Woy owner Ms Gael Connop said.
"In their annual food drive last month, Curves clubs worldwide waived their joining fee and collected a green recyclable bag of groceries in lieu of the regular joining fee.
"At Woy Woy Curves, 61 bags of groceries weighing 545.5 kg were collected and then distributed to the Salvation Army.
"At the same time as the clubs were busy collecting food, they were also running a Biggest Loser Race promotion which was to promote awareness and raise funds for Diabetes Australia."
