Aboriginal workshops

Two Aboriginal cultural workshops will be held at Beachside Family Centre in March and June.

Aboriginal artist Ms Jenni McEwen will run "Learn and Understand Aboriginal Art" on Wednesday, March 21, and "Aboriginal History and Its Place in Society" on Wednesday, June 13.

Both workshops will be held from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

The workshops will be held at Beachside Family Centre, grounds of Umina Public School, Sydney Ave, Umina.

A bush tucker morning tea will be provided and child care is available for a gold coin donation.

Both workshops are free of charge.

"This is a great opportunity to connect with indigenous culture within your local community," family centre facilitator Ms Debbie Notara said.

Bookings are essential for the workshop and child care.
